Spice up your wine with these fun DIY wine drink recipes!
Wine Spritzer
A simple and classic cocktail! The Queen of DIY wine cocktails, you can use whatever variety of white wine you have on hand and play around with the wine: soda ratio (we recommend starting with 3:1). Make it your own with different garnishes and flavoured or shaped ice cubes!

Prep: 5 min
Serving size: 1 cocktail
Tips: Make sure your wine and sparkling water are as cold as possible. This opens up the flavours and makes a student-budget-friendly, otherwise not overly impressive wine oh so enjoyable!
Ingredients:
· 6 ounces chilled white wine
· 2 ounces cold club soda or sparkling water
· Citrus wedges or peel for garnish
Directions:
1. Fill a glass of your choice with ice (we recommend a white wine or highball glass)
2. Pour in the wine
3. Top with club soda or sparkling water
4. Garnish as desired! Serve and enjoy!
Berry Wine Slushie
This recipe is delicious and easy to customize! Use any kind of wine, a mix of fresh or frozen berries, or any other blendable fruit.

Prep: 5 min
Freezing: 8 hrs
Serving size: 1-2 cocktails
Tips: Depending on the kind of wine you use and your preference for sweetness, we recommend using honey as a natural sweetener. This recipe requires wine ice cubes so plan in advance when making it. A standard bottle of wine is 750ml or 3 cups; approximately 2 cups will fill one standard ice cube tray which is enough for 2-3 slushies. For consistency, all frozen fruit creates a more smoothie-like consistency whereas all fresh fruit makes for a thinner, icier drink.
Ingredients:
· 2 cups red, white, rose, or sparkling wine (for this exact recipe we prefer red wine! It’s also a great way to introduce your tastebuds to red if you tend to reach for white or rose)
· 3 ice cubes
· ¼ cup raspberries (fresh or frozen)
· ¼ cup blackberries (fresh or frozen)
· ¼ cup strawberries (fresh or frozen)
· 1 tbsp honey, optional
· Berries or mint leaves to garnish
Directions:
Fill an ice cube tray with the wine of your choice and freeze for at least 6 hours
Combine 3 ice cubes and 6 frozen wine cubes with berries and honey (optional) in a blender
Blend very well, until everything is mixed and slushy. If necessary, stop to scrape down the blender or pulse multiple times.
Pour into a chilled glass of your choice
Garnish, serve, and enjoy!
White Wine Mojito
Try this variation on a classic mojito by swapping out white rum for white wine! Any white wine will work, but we recommended Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, or Riesling.

Prep: 8 min
Serving size: 6-8
Tips: Chill the white wine and sparkling lemonade ahead of time. A cup of mint may sound like a lot but it’s a key ingredient to the fresh flavour of this beverage! Try to get the freshest mint possible and hold off on chopping and adding it to the drink until the very end, otherwise it can turn brown.
Ingredients:
1 (750ml) bottle of white wine
2 cups Italian sparkling lemonade
2 limes, juiced
1 cup fresh mint
White sugar to taste (varies on sweetness of lemonade)
1 lime, thinly sliced, for garnish
Ice
Directions:
Chill the white wine and sparkling lemonade
Juice 2 limes
Once well-chilled, mix the sparkling lemonade and win together in a large pitcher. Add the lime juice
Finely chop ¾ cup of fresh mint and add to the pitcher
Optionally, add white sugar to taste
Thinly slice the remaining lime for a garnish on the glass rims
Add a generous amount of ice, a slice of lime, and a sprig of the remaining mint to each glass. Pour from your pitcher and enjoy!
